Pixelmug P1 Featured in Spain’s Renowned Gadget Magazine (Issue 210)!

We have some exciting news to share with our global community! Our Kickstarter darling, the Pixelmug P1, has officially made its way across the Atlantic and caught the attention of European tech experts.

In Issue 210 of Spain's leading tech and lifestyle publication, Gadget Magazine, the Pixelmug P1 was put through their famously rigorous "Test sin Piedad" (Merciless Test). We are incredibly honored to announce that the P1 walked away with a stellar final score of 8.1 out of 10!

"A clock, a thermometer, and retro games wrapped in 175 ml of porcelain."

That is how the editors at Gadget introduced the P1 to their Spanish readers, and we couldn't have described it better ourselves.

The review dives deep into the magic that happens when you turn the mug on. From a distance, it looks like a beautiful, sleek ceramic coffee cup. But up close, the high-quality, double-walled porcelain reveals a hidden 4.83-inch display powered by 512 color LEDs.

• The Hidden Tech: They praised the seamless integration of the screen beneath the ceramic layer, as well as the completely hidden touch bar on the side of the handle, which allows you to play retro mini-games (like Gravity Drop and Vegas Slots) while keeping the mug’s outer design clean and minimalist.
• The App & AI Capabilities: The review highlighted the creative freedom offered by our free iOS and Android app. Editors loved drawing their own pixel art, importing photos, and using our Text-to-Image AI to generate unique graphics on the fly.
• A High-End Desk Companion: Scoring a near-perfect 9/10 in both Construction and Design, the P1 was highly praised for its premium materials and build quality.

They noted that because of the advanced hardware and double-walled porcelain, the P1 is best suited for espresso lovers (at 175 ml capacity) and requires a bit of special care (it is not dishwasher or microwave safe!). They also noted that while the Android app has some room for future improvements, "the hardware has much more substance than meets the eye."
